Broken Without a Mommy and a Daddy

Looks like Wyoming is attempting to bolster their morals and values by introducing a bill. This bill would disallow the recognition of gay marriages from other states.

Same old song, same old dance, same old players.

One of the weakest arguments -- one that I'm tired of hearing, might I add -- is the fact that proponents of this bill state some opaque statistic that there are 'social implications' of children raised without a mommy or daddy. Like what? Clarification, please?

As a member of millions of children that were not raised in a 'traditional' family of mommy and daddy holding hands in matrimony, I take offense to this idiotic belief. After all... I haven't turned out like the twisted heterosexual, Ted Bundy... you know, the serial killer that terrorized women over the course of his 42 years. He was born illegitimately but gained a father before he was 5 years old.

Perhaps they can remember the sadistic acts of a man by the name of Jeffrey Dahmer, who terrorized homosexual men and male prostitutes. Sorry, Wyomingites... he had both parents in his household up to the age of 18 -- long after he'd already gouged a canyon's worth of troubles into his psychological profile.

Most Americans can recall the Oklahoma City bombing, carried out by a right-wing terrorist named Timothy McVeigh. He was born in an Irish-Catholic family along with two sisters, and had a mommy and a daddy up until aged 10.

Maybe... just maybe DIVORCE plays a much more important role in 'social implications' than does two men or two women getting married? Maybe these Wyoming legislators need to draw up a bill to ban divorces -- a much more sublime poison upon the walls of their 'traditional marriage' ideals.
